Kamala Harris, the vice president and Democratic presidential candidate, recently spoke on Dr. Mike Varshavski’s audio” The Check Up with Dr Mike,” where she discussed medical issues, her views, and plans for the field.
Harris also expressed her thoughts on Donald Trump, a former president who has promised Robert F. Kennedy Jr. had “work on women’s health” issues if she were to lose the presidency next week.
Kennedy, who suspended his separate national charge to endorse Trump in August, has a record of promoting anti-vaccine crime theories and misconceptions related to the COVID-19 crisis.
Dr Mike expressed concern, stating,” I’ve heard troubling news that someone like RFK Jr may end up leading a major health firm like HHS, CDC, or FDA”. He added,” As a primary care physician, it’s deeply concerning to think of anyone with a recent marked by anti-science language, HIV neglect, and anti-vaccine positions probably overseeing people health”.
Turning to Harris, Dr Mike posed the question,” Is that concerning for you? And how do you think that would “function” in the sexual room?
With confidence, Harris replied,” First of all, it’s not going to occur because I intend to win this vote. This is why I’m working thus hard— I know the bets”.
She responded to a question about RFK Jr. running care by saying,” Donald Trump has indicated he may have RFK work women’s health policy, and as you’ve pointed out, his approach is not very beneficial to health professionals. It’s not useful for him to discuss care in the manner he does.
She urged the electorate to believe that she would only gain if the electorate cast ballots and knew what was at stake.
Taking a dig at former President Trump, Harris said,” It’s not just about who runs women’s health for the federal government, but also about the Affordable Care Act. Trump tried to demolish it numerous instances while he was in office, and he intends to do so once more. That may result in the loss of millions of dollars in health plan.
” These are the stuff directly at risk in this election, and these are the reasons I’m fighting to assure we win”, she added.
Harris ‘ campaign shared another picture of Trump on X, where he reiterated his remarks in Macon, Georgia, saying,” I told excellent man RFK Jr Bobby, I said Bobby you operate in children’s health”.
Also, Harris ‘ campaign shared a video clip from X of Kennedy where he claimed he would support a federal ban on all abortions after three months.
