Twenty, twenty, twenty-four days to come, I wanna be sedated. “—The Ramones
The 2024 presidential election’s final year may be as close to what dementia will always feel like for the unafflicted. Or at least that’s how it’s been for me.

Nobody knows everything, according to screenwriter William Goldman’s crude conclusion of filmmaking, and the same holds true for this election. I’ve been madly oscillating over Kamala Harris’s victory over Donald Trump’s expected triumph for philosophical despair for the past week, with a few pauses along the fast sliding scale between the two.
Here’s why:
The contest had been narrowing all year thanks to the wider betting landscape. Trump started with a virtually two-to-one benefits that, by Friday, had shrunk to about 52/48. This day, Trump is up up, 55/45.
If pollsters have finally figured out how to effectively describe Trump’s support, the one topic nobody knows how to answer is not if they’re fair, a quality in alarmingly short supply.

Frank Luntz claims he has lost the election and is looking at voter participation:
He is trying to figure out what attendance will be and is monitoring how some young women in particular will show up, he explained, rather than going back and forth again.
If that socioeconomic makes up a bigger share of the overall public, then that’s great news for Harris and it may” force her,” Luntz said.
According to early voting data, Pennsylvania has seen a rise in Democratic women who are casting ballots this cycle but did n’t in 2020. However, Democratic men are currently leading the first voter movement in Arizona.
But Trump has lost Pennsylvania, best?
Well…
A significant Democratic win is on the horizon in Pennsylvania.

Virginia is close enough ( a sign of a Trump landslide! ) that The Donald ran that this trip. But Harris is winning, and North Carolina is thus near. that he’s organizing four demonstrations there in the final days.
Would you like to visit me in the bipolar clinic? At 5 p.m., Thorazine may get served.
If we’re on the Trump flood side, the image may appear as reddish as this:

But if everything breaks Harris’s manner, we may be looking at a lake of violet.
If the magic mail-in ballots turn any one of the battlegrounds, it wo n’t take much cheating to get us from a close Trump win like the one below to a close Harris win.
As I said, nothing knows everything. Or, at least quarter of it is incorrect, but everyone is completely aware of it.
At night, I find that the cognac helps — and so do The Ramones.  ,
