Otherwise, the SJP Hamasniks staged a protest because I support Israel and am Jewish. That is it,’ pro-Israel speech says
After being interrupted by pro-Palestinian pupils, a pro-Israel attorney’s statement was canceled at Loyola University Chicago.
Josh Hammer, the top counsel for the Article III Project, said that” 30 keffiyeh-clad” Students for Justice in Palestine” protesters showed up carrying all kinds of indicators about how fascist/supporter of “genocide” etc. at the occasion”, on Wednesday, Oct. 30.
Hammer, according to a article on X, was not even that to question about Israel, but instead, national immunity. He is also an director for Newsweek.
He ( pictured ) wrote on X that” the SJP Hamasniks instead showed up to protest because I support Israel and am Jewish. ” That is it”.
He wrote:
The demonstrators soon stood up and turned their backs on me as I began. All of this, in my experience, is about par for the course —similar to what has happened to me in the past. However, after about five days, the kids began to slowly leave the room to read my comments. It was purposefully sleepy, and it felt in the moment like a de facto heckler’s reject. This was a strongly timed occasion, after all, and I just had 15 days of allotted time to offer notes before the writer’s response.
Hammer refuted several of his earlier assertions that the protesters were” trash” and that he hoped his “beepers do n’t go off” in reference to the Hezbollah terrorists who were killed when Israel rigged their rigged pagers. Hammer says,” I appreciate you men silencing your backlinking,” in an audio clip posted by the LUC Law Student Solidarity Coalition. The Federalist Society paragraph must be punished, according to the Solidarity Coalition.
Those remarks were used as an “excuse”, according to Hammer, for his university part opposition to withdraw the conversation.
Hammer also alleged he was hit by a pro-Palestinian learner.
According to Hammer,” The police officials and I quickly walked down two flights of stairs to an airplane that was waiting for us.” Therefore,” A campus police squad car dropped me off a few blocks away, away from the crazy.”
He claimed that before that year, he had spoken without event at the University of Chicago and the University of Illinois. In response to the Loyola discussion, The Federalist Society also canceled his appearance at its regional event.
The school Student Bar Association backed Hammer’s conversation’ cancellation. It thanked Professor John Dehn for bringing the occasion to an end and forwarded him to be “barred” from school.
Mike Davis, the leader of the Article III Project, criticized the university.
The Loyola Student Bar Association’s” spoiled kids” should continue their academic work because they lack understanding of the words they use, he said. ” Mockery is not dangerous. Simply the intellectually shallow, sluggish, and deceptive equate this to a ‘ threat.'”
He called the kids” cake” and” an disgrace to the legal job”.
