Egyptian President Masud Pezeshkian said that if a cease-fire were reached by Israel and Tehran-allied groups in the region, the behavior” may affect the power” of any hostile hit by Iran’s defense, the state-run IRNA news agency reported.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu defended his tough stance on the issue while making a visit to the Syrian borders on November 3. He claimed the Hezbollah radical party may be pushed up beyond the Litani River and prevented from rearming.
Israel has been bombing and threatening Hezbollah’s suspected sites for the past few months, which has been labeled a criminal organization by the US while the European Union has blacklisted its democratic party’s armed wing.
Many of Hezbollah’s management has been killed in Israeli attacks in southern Lebanon and around the money, Beirut.
Since the Israeli Army launched an offensive against Hezbollah on October 7, 2023, the Hamas-ruled country’s leaders carried out a terrorist attack that killed more than 1, 200 Israelis and held about 250 captives, the problems have grown even more severe. The US and the EU have labeled Hamas as a criminal business.
Hezbollah has launched hundreds of rockets and robots into Israel, promising to maintain its strikes until a cease-fire is reached in Gaza. Nevertheless, Jewish attacks inside Lebanon have killed almost 3, 000 people, according to authorities there, and have destroyed many of Gaza, with a reported death toll of 43, 341.
Some Western and international leaders feared a longer Middle East war would break out, especially since Israel and Iran were engaged in tit-for-trade airstrikes. Some are awaiting Tehran’s next walk following Israel’s October 26 attack against defense places inside Iran.
” If they]the Israelis ] reconsider their behavior, accept a cease-fire, and stop massacring the oppressed and innocent people of the region, it could affect the intensity and type of our response”, Pezeshkian was quoted as saying by the IRNA state news agency.
He added, however, that Tehran” may never allow any aggression against its sovereignty or security to go unaddressed.”
Pezeshkian, who took office in late July, has been labeled a modest by some European spectators of the Iranian social situation.
A day prior, Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei,  , threatened , Israel and the United States with” a teeth-shattering answer” to new Jewish attacks on Iran and its substitute parties – which it referred to as its “resistance front” — in the Middle East.
Meanwhile, Netanyahu said that” I want to be clear: With or without]a cease-fire ] agreement, the key to restoring peace and security in the north, the key to bringing our northern residents back home safely, is first and foremost to push Hezbollah back beyond the Litani River, secondly to target any attempt to rearm, and thirdly to respond firmly to any action taken against us”.
Israel” will surely do everything that may be done…whether in terms of defense, weapons, or social work”, he said.
The , Litani River , is some 30 meters inside Lebanon from the borders and may create a buffer zone between Hezbollah causes and Jewish province, which He has insisted upon.
In a report by Axios on November 2,  , a U. S. official , and a former Israeli official said the U. S. administration had warned Tehran in recent days that it wo n’t be able to restrain Israel should Iran launch another attack against the U. S. ally.
