However, this fresh surveys accurately predicts the success of the popular voting, which means that the candidate who receives the Guam straw poll will win the popular vote. According to reports, Harris defeated Trump 49.45 % to 46.22 %. In 2020, Joe Biden defeated Trump in this ballot by 14 per centage items.
Because Guam is a US area nation in Micronesia in the Western Pacific, it is not a condition, and therefore, it is ineligible to choose its own people for the Electoral College. Its straw poll results, which have been held every four years since 1980, are non-binding and do n’t count towards the Electoral College.
