The Eastern District of Michigan department of the U.S. Attorney’s Office revealed on Election Day that a man from Michigan was detained on Tuesday over dangers he made to conservative Christians.
According to United States Attorney Dawn N. Ison, Isaac Sissel, 25, who is currently in Ann Arbor, posted the following threat online:” I shall carry out an attack against conservative christan, ( sic ) filth in the event trump wins the election. To keep from getting ahead with my intentions, I have a stolen Ar15 and a goal I refuse to brand. There is nothing the FBI can do until I finish the attack, and there is no way to identify the specific target or know where I hid the weapon.
The FBI Detroit Field Office is investigating the case as part of the Justice Department’s Election Threats Task Force, which “has led the district’s efforts to address threats of violence against poll workers, and to ensure that all election workers — whether elected, appointed, or volunteer — are able to do their work free from risks and harassment”.
The work force works with the state and local law enforcement and the electoral watchdog to investigate and prosecute allegations of threats against election workers, as needed, in collaboration with FBI Field Headquarters and U.S. Attorneys ‘ Agencies nationwide. The Department of Justice stated in a speech that the work force is continuing its vital job and supporting the U.S. Attorneys ‘ Headquarters and FBI Field Offices across the country as they pursue the task force’s important work.
