Joe Scarborough appears perplexed and caught off guard by the straightforward economics that eventually contributed to Trump’s win in 2024. His trade with a Kamala Harris voter, who resigned incredulously to claim that” Trump’s going to win” due to a price as low as foods, exposes a disturbing disconnect between liberal media leaders and regular people in America.

” I want discuss about the market for a second”, he said. Someone who was going to be voting for Kamala Harris approached me and said,” Oh my god, three weeks ago.” Trump’s gonna win.’ I go,’ Why is that?’ He goes,’ I merely — I went to the grocery store, creamy over$ 3.'”
Scarborough, who evidently had n’t noticed how prices has been affecting the prices of basic commodities, brushed off the voter’s reply.
” I kinda laughed, and I said,’ Well, that’s kind of simplistic, is n’t it?’ I said it to myself. To him, I smiled, and I said,’ Great level.'”
This contemptuous response reveals his inability to recognize the writing on the wall, which has been clear to everyone but the liberal media leaders. His wife Mika Brzezinski then responded by mentioning that cheese can be purchased for seven cash in some places. ” Butter is$ 7″?! Scarborough reacts as if it’s some immoral, isolated event. ” What? Is it illustrated in platinum”? he asks, trying to laugh it off.
The humor is obvious around. The voter’s “reductive” reasoning about grocery prices is n’t just a trivial complaint, it’s a telling snapshot of the very economic struggles driving millions of Americans to the polls. Scarborough acknowledges that he finally made the connections on Election Night.

” Yeah, my place is this”, he said. The man said,” This man said the price of cheese is way too high, and the book is too high.” And so I thought it was a bit basic. In the end, the stage was lost. That if you look at the cost of foods, if you look at the cost of fuel… if you look at the cost of points compared to four years ago, it was a very simple, reply for working-class Americans”.
Scarborough may think it’s a good thing that the Biden-Harris economy’s struggling citizens eventually realized that they were only able to see or acknowledge once Trump won the election.
People like Scarborough seems a little out of touch with the financial realities that have ruled everyday life for the past three and a half centuries. It’s not like it’s been some great secret. Truly, liberal media has been pointing out that the price of elements like groceries, gas, resources and such are impacting working people across the country. Yet Harris had to acknowledge that the prices are still too high.  ,
Scarborough is also trying to figure out how Kamala Harris lost so badly and was shocked to learn about the high cost of shopping on tomorrow’s Morning Joe.

Scarborough accidentally highlights his own failure to comprehend why Trump won over voters by laughing off what he refers to as “reductive” problems. Or it could be that the progressive media purposefully ignored these issues before the election, believing that telling people that the economy was strong and everything is great was the answer.
