Shehbaz Sharif, the prime minister of Pakistan, expressed congratulations on Wednesday on the triumph of US President-elect Donald Trump in an X-ray article.
In his post, the Prime Minister wrote,” Gratitude to President-elect Donald Trump on his legendary success for a second name! Working closely with the coming administration will help to expand and improve the Pakistan-US relationship. @realDonaldTrump”.
But, X’s group notice stated that” Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has banned X in Pakistan. He is accessing X using a VPN, which is against Bangladeshi law.
A similar society statement was included with another information from Sharif, in which he praised Pakistan’s national cricket team’s victory over Australia, in addition to the Trump post.
The event comes as Pakistani society is still concerned about how social media platforms are used. Earlier this year, the government’s interior government imposed a temporary moratorium on X, citing national security concerns.
The interior ministry reiterated that the system had not established a constitutional presence in Pakistan, making it difficult to keep it guilty under local laws, and that X was partially blocked due to security concerns in February. Studies revealed that the authorities cited non-compliance by the social internet giant to the government’s rules.
