I’m sure you’ve enjoyed seeing liberal media sites meltdown about Trump’s victory this week, but there was another collapse on CNN this week that was n’t about the election, at least not directly, that is worth watching. This one was over men playing children’s activities.

It all started when Jay Michaelson, a priest and writer of” God vs. Gay: The Religious Case For Equality”, was lamenting the effectiveness of the Trump administration’s “anti-trans” advertising. ” Those advertising were for the foundation, right”? he asked. The center was inspired to leave the area, they said. And that foundation, that MAGA base, and the kind of, as I had characterize, Christian nationalist base, did appear. However, I do n’t believe that was what inspired the swing voters to support Trump.
But, GOP agent Shermichael Singleton disagreed. ” I do n’t think that’s just for the base”, he said. ” I think there are a lot of families out there who, you know, do n’t believe boys should play girl sports”.
Jay Michaelson finally completely lost it.
” They’re not kids”, he interjected. ” I wo n’t tolerate transphobia at this table,” he said. I wo n’t agree with you calling a trans girl a boy because that’s just how it is.
Michaelson accused Singleton of using a insult right away, and the board quickly grew heated.
” When you use a word that’s a insult, I’m going to interrupt”, he said.
That’s when Abby Phillip tried to get the board under control.
” Let’s update for a subsequent because, look, this is a definitely heated matter, right? And, Shermichael, I know you. You are aware that everyone has a unique perspective on this, as you are aware. I think out of appreciation for Jay, like this try to talk about this in a way that is respectful”.

” Okay. But, let me rephrase this since I’m being targeted around”, Singleton said.
” I do n’t—You’re not … just to be clear, you are not being targeted”, Phillip claimed. I’m expressing in particular that I am aware that you do n’t intend to be transphobic.
Singleton then insisted, accurately, that “regular people” see it exactly how he explained it, and not just the Trump base: that boys and men are playing women’s sports and do n’t like it.
Michaelson’s scorn for “regular folks” only became more evident as he continued:” That’s no regular people. There’s no compromise that these are really kids”. Actually, Michaelson? No compromise? Biological gender is a fact that cannot be altered with plastic surgery and hormone injections because of the stigma prevalent among most people.

Because so many Americans believe that” Democrats are going way too far to the left on cultural problems,” Singleton attempted to explain how Republicans are using these issues properly in advertisements. Michaelson, however, dismissed this as a” canard,” dismissing the real concerns of parents and families. In Michaelson’s sight, if you’re uncomfortable with the idea of natural men competing in sexual activities, you’re just bad — end of discussion.
When Singleton suddenly asked,” What’s the language you do want”? Again, Michaelson resisted using the phrase” transgender girls playing with the people who are in their identity”

Because they should be called women when they act like women? Hell no. I wo n’t pretend to be women when boys and men remove their genitalia. I wo n’t do it. Because that insults real people, I’m not going to refer to them as women.
