Archaeologists meticulously uncovered more and more of a unique historic Roman site while digging into the white brown dust of southern , France. They were particularly interested in one particular architecture, and for good reason.
It turned out to be a about 1, 900-year-old bath.
Scientists began excavating a page in Villeneuve-sur-Lot in 2017 away of home design. They expected to find something because of the city’s proximity to Excisum, a rich old Roman city, the , French National Institute for Preventive Archaeological Research , said in a , Nov. 5 , media release.

The military station even had a thermal bath difficult, archaeologists said. A cool pool, a boiler room, and two service rooms were all present in the huge stone structure.
