Haley, the previous US embassy, has responded to her rejection from Trump’s presidency, which is now being formed, wishing the president-elect “great achievement”.
Trump announced on Saturday that neither Nikki Haley nor Mike Pompeo, the former secretary of state, may be part of his leadership. He made the announcement on his social media platform, Truth Social.
In response to his assertion on X, Haley responded,” I was proud to work with President Trump to defend America at the United Nations.” I wish him, and all who serve, tremendous victory in moving us forward to a stronger, safer America over the next four ages”.
Pompeo and Haley, both of whom served as US ambassador to the UN under Trump, were thought to be probable case candidates for a second Trump presidency.
Trump’s statement directly ruled out both lawmakers:” I will not be inviting past Ambassador Nikki Haley, or previous Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, to meet the Trump Administration, which is now in development”. He continued,” I’ve worked with them before,” and thanked them for their services.
Trump was previously up against by Haley in the Republican National Convention, but she finally won. During her speech, she addressed those hesitant about Trump, saying,” I know there are people out there who do n’t agree with Donald Trump 100 %. Some of them are close to my own. My message is simple: You do n’t have to agree with Donald Trump 100 % of the time to vote for him”.
Pompeo, who has maintained a lower profile since leaving company, has not publicly responded to Trump’s speech.
