An disaster measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale struck parts of Pakistan, including Islamabad, on Wednesday, as reported by the country’s weather section. The United States Geological Survey ( USGS ) measured it at 5.1 magnitude, whilst the Pakistan Meteorological Department ( PMD) recorded it at 5.3.
According to the National Seismic Monitoring Center in Islamabad, the Hindukush mountain range, which was the source of the disaster, was the site of the quake. The detail was 220 kilometers.
Both the USGS and PMD confirmed that there was seismic activity at 10.13 am ( Pakistan time ). During the spasms, inhabitants feared for their safety as they feared for their homes. There have n’t been any reported injuries so far.
The spasms were experienced across Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad and different parts of Punjab, according to authorities.
