On Wednesday, President-elect Donald Trump publicly announced that he’d nominated Florida Senator Marco Rubio to function as secretary of State in his future leadership. Although some people think that is great information for our country, Florida might find itself in a bind as a result. Rubio has been a popular candidate there since 2011 and has a good reputation that ( in 2022, he readily won his re-election that with over 1.2 million more seats than his Democratic opponent ), but Governor Rick DeSantis will have to assign people to take his place until a particular election is held in 2026.  ,

Who will it be? Many brands have been tossed around, including DeSantis’s own chief of staff James Uthmeier, Florida’s lieutenant governor Jeanette Nunez, Florida’s attorney general Ashley Moody, former speaker of the Florida House of Represenatives Jose ́ Oliva, and U. S. District judge Roy Altman. Some even back DeSantis appointing himself or his partner Casey to the office, despite the fact that DeSantis has stated he enjoys serving as government.  ,  ,
Perhaps the most prominent name on the list, yet, is a member of the Trump home: the president-elect’s daughter-in-law, Lara Trump. Lara is married to Trump’s end child, Eric, and has worked as a television manufacturer in the past. She is now the co-chair of the Republican National Committee, and some say she played a key role in helping find her father-in-law re-elected. The native of North Carolina and mother-of-two has resided in Florida on a permanent basis for three decades.  ,
On Wednesday night, Sean Hannity asked Lara about the stories she shared with her on Fox News. While she did n’t exactly confirm anything, she admitted she’d be happy to be Florida’s next senator. ” If I am able to serve, I would love to serve the people of Florida”, she said, adding,” If I am asked, I would love to consider it, but I have yet to have a conversation with Governor DeSantis, so we will have to see” . ,

Numerous well-known Democrats have expressed their support for the appointment of another Trump community member. Lindsey Graham, a senator from South Carolina, said on Hannity that” we could not do much on the Republican side than Lara Trump” and that he would be “over the best excited.”  ,
The idea was also supported by Florida’s congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna, who also suggested Lara would serve in the position after 2006.
DeSantis has not yet released a public statement indicating who he might assign for Rubio’s chair. According to the Tallahassee Democrat, the government is presently in Italy to talk about business offers.  ,  ,
