A death license from the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health and obtained by TMZ revealed that the 28-time Grammy Award winner’s cause of death was an extreme form of cancer. According to the store, no other factors led to his death.
The 91-year-old, whose generation-spanning work shaped Michael Jackson’s guitar job and , included collaborations , with Frank Sinatra, Ray Charles, Diana Ross and the Weeknd, died Nov. 3 at his Bel-Air house. He was surrounded by his kids, relatives and close relatives, his writer, Arnold Robinson, said at the time. Therefore, no dying cause was revealed.
Robinson did not respond to the Los Angeles Times ‘ ask for assurance on Wednesday.
The Oscar-nominated artist and renowned audio maker was laid to rest Sunday during , a secret funeral , in Los Angeles, his family said. A larger, common monument is being planned, but no date has been announced.
