Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY ) blasted Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard as Cabinet nominees, lamenting the former’s vaccine skepticism and the latter’s soft stance on Russia.
” You have a child, and anywhere in the world, I mean, protecting against polio, against influenza, against pretty serious communicable diseases that, I mean, we would be talking about going up to the, what, the 1700s, 1800s”, Ocasio-Cortez said of Kennedy.
” I mean, this is critical. But on top of that, if you’re a Democratic that voted for , Donald Trump , and you believe in his mission,  , something that is widely common among Republicans and Democrats are group health facilities”, she said. Under Robert F. Kennedy,” If you live in a rural area and there is a community centre close to you but there is no medical very close to you,” he warned.
Ocasio-Cortez therefore redirected her indignation toward Gabbard.
” I really think, almost more than Matt Gaetz, Tulsi Gabbard’s session is devastating”, Ocasio-Cortez said. ” And Tulsi Gabbard’s election, as much as she says that she’s an anti-war man, she’s not. She supports quite pro-war individuals internationally”.
” And let’s be very obvious. A Tulsi Gabbard election is a pro-war election worldwide. Point blank, phase”, she added.
During the battle, Gabbard and Kennedy frequently interacted as past Democrats who now support Trump. Gambard has frequently been criticized for favoring Russia and Syria, two nations that have previously fought hostilities toward the United States.

As for Kennedy, he has commented in the past that” there’s no vaccine that is safe and effective” and believes that vaccines cause autism. His campaign trail against President Joe Biden and subsequent separate campaigns were major barriers due to his controversial views on vaccines and a wide range of other issues.
No all Democrats opposed Kennedy’s election. Gov. In a post on X, Jared Polis (D-CO ) praised the choice and cited several Kennedy quotations that piqued his interest.
” I hope that we can suddenly make progress on these crucial issues,” said Polis,” I look forward to working with him to truly restore America.”
Eventually, he afterwards refrained from criticizing Kennedy, saying in a blog that “science may be the foundation of our country’s health coverage, and the science-backed choice to getting vaccinated improves public health and safety.”
At the tail end of the 2024 presidential poll, Kennedy campaigned for Trump. Later in Kennedy’s plan, reports suggested he would accept Trump as a compromise in exchange for a Cabinet position.
