President-elect Donald Trump on Friday named his “highly successful speaker” and campaign spokesperson Karoline Leavitt as his White House press minister.
” Karoline is smart, tough, and has proven to be a highly effective communicator”, Trump said, adding,” I have the utmost confidence she will excel at the floor, and help give our information to the American Citizens as we, Make America Great Again”.
Leavitt, a White House press secretary, surpasses Ron Ziegler’s past record of 29 when Nixon appointed him in 1969.
The 27-year-old’s interview comes at the end of Donald Trump’s second term, when he previously served as an assistant press secretary.
Who is Karoline Leavitt
Leavitt was a native of New Hampshire and recently served as a press secretary for Trump’s first word, which ran from 2017 to 2021.
After Trump’s 2020 battle to Joe Biden, Leavitt served as communications director for Republican Representative Elise Stefanik, Trump’s pull for UN adviser.
She ran for a seat in the New Hampshire House in 2022, winning the Republican primary before eventually falling to Democrat Chris Pappas, but the experience improved her people speaking abilities.
Lake then returned to Trump’s circle, leading communications for his 2024 plan and changeover team. However, the Biden administration has seen two press secretary: Jen Psaki and Karine Jean-Pierre.
