Trump imposed severe economic sanctions on Iranian oil income and international finance deals during his first term, pulling the US out of the Iran-Iran nuclear deal from 2015 and removing the United States from the world. He likewise ordered the execution of a major Egyptian standard, Qassim Suleimani, in Iraq in 2020.
