A bullet struck a Southwest Airlines plane as it was about to take off at Texas ‘ Dallas Love Field on Friday evening, prompting the aircraft to return to the switch, according to a statement from the airline.
A Southwest director told Reuters that Southwest Airlines Flight 2494 was scheduled to depart for Indianapolis when a bullet reportedly struck the straight side of the aircraft, just below the journey board, as the team was getting ready to take off. ” No injuries were reported. The helicopter has been taken out of service, and law enforcement has been informed.
When the tragedy occurred, the US-based flights ‘ flight was scheduled to depart from Dallas to Indianapolis.
According to Dallas Love Field Airport, the surveillance incident occurred at roughly 9.50 p.m., which prompted the responding Dallas officers and Dallas Fire-Rescue.
After the plane was damaged, the airport issued a statement confirming that the passengers were carefully evacuated.
