Individuals have a real problem with finding out how things actually work, which is one of the things I find frustrating and yet annoying on both the left and right. Today’s case is in safety certification and categorization. Above all else, we request that House Republicans withdraw the security certification of the notorious 51″ National Security Specialists,” who wrote in a notice that the Hunter Biden laptop had all the hallmarks of a Russian propaganda procedure.
And yeah, that has a significant of” of training” carrying a whole lot of water.
A few days ago, I suggested this in my” What Comes Following” content:  ,
Terminate people with clearances after leaving the government with security clearances. Create them re-apply. But the] Infamous ] Famous 51 should be told not to bother. And take it seriously if you’re going to charge them with it.
Because of what I’m going to say second, I make a point of repeating everything.
Because they ca n’t, the House Republicans continue to grant those security clearances.
We need to examine where clearances come from and how they are administered to understand why the House Republicans ca n’t just pull the clearances from the Infamous 51.
Executive Order 1356 is the source of everything. The charm there is in the term” executive order. While the penalty for breaking the law ( see 18 USC 792-798 ), the president’s authority alone establishes the classification. You might remember that this was a problem in Trump’s now-abducted classified documents case because it depended on the false claim that he could n’t disclose what he wanted.
Okay, this is an over-simplification, since nuclear tricks are done by regulation by the Department of Energy, but that’s not what we’re talking about here.
The point here is that this is a separation of powers issue: the House ca n’t overrule the President. ( If you think this is bad, recollect the Lesson of Robespierre: if they can do it for you, they can do it to you. What if the Democrats retake control of the House in 2026?
We have the separation of powers, and we generally have the entire structure of the three established branches of the US government, in particular because we want to make it difficult for one branch to overthrow the others.
We let that pass, making the Executive Branch” a valuable unaccountable fourth tree” as a result. Trump was elected to get back the handle, and take responsibility, of the Executive Branch.  ,
