A vegetable company headquartered in Bakersfield is linked to a nationwide outbreak of , E. bacteria, according to the U. S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
The CDC announced , Sunday that the multistate pandemic stems from Grimmway Farms,  , which is one of the largest producers, suppliers and exporters of vegetables in the world. Numerous brands of packed healthy baby and whole carrots have been recalled by the company.
As of Sunday night, 39 people in 18 states were infected by the pandemic of , E. bacteria. According to the CDC, 15 of those persons had been hospitalized and one had died. People afflicted experience intense stomach cramps, diarrhea and vomiting.
The vegetables were available for purchase in shops from about Aug. 14 to Oct. 23, according to the CDC. The businesses include 365, Bunny Luv, Cal-Organic, Compliments, Full Circle, Great &, Gather, GreenWise, Marketside, Nature’s Promise, O-Organic, President’s Choice, Simple Truth, Trader Joe’s, Wegmans and Wholesome Pantry.
Any of these items should be checked in refrigerators for any recalled veggies and thrown away.

Our food security team collaborates with our providers and health authorities.
