Russia made the announcement on Tuesday that Ukraine had launched six ATACMS long-range weapons into the north of Bryansk.
Following frequent calls from President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Ukraine has not yet acknowledged using the ATACMS, which would be their first rollout since President Joe Biden authorized Kyiv to use them against Russia.
” Last night at 3.25 ( 0025 GMT ) the enemy struck a facility in the Bryansk region with six ballistic missiles. According to proved information, American-made ATACMS operational-tactical weapons were used”, the Russian army department said in a speech.
Additionally, according to the speech, Russian air defense systems reportedly landed on a military installation and caught five missiles, causing damage to one. The department added that no injuries or structural damage were reported in spite of the fire’s initial eruption, which was quickly contained.
This comes after Biden administration’s decision to grant Ukraine exposure to American weapons for long-range hits on Russian jobs, which Moscow condemned as a “reckless” walk that was dangerously escalate the conflict. Washington’s change in policy was also fueled by concerns about North Korean soldiers ‘ recent deployment to bolster Russian troops, which has sparked sirens in both Kyiv and Washington.
The Russian foreign minister referred to the authorization as a possible “game changer” for the conflict, which has persisted for about three years.
Russia has stated that it would provoke a response if Americans gave in to such problems.
A revised atomic theory that lowers the requirements for considering implementation of nuclear weapons was approved earlier in the day by President Vladimir Putin. Any normal attack on Russia by a non-nuclear position supported by a nuclear energy may be interpreted as a mixed assault, according to the updated plan.
