Matt Gaetz, the attorney general pick for Donald Trump, is on the radar because he is one of the most contentious picks so far, and many Republicans are hopeful he wo n’t be confirmed by the Senate. Now that it is known that Gaetz, 42, has adopted son Nestor, he has n’t kept from the world’s attention. In 2020, he introduced his “adopted boy” Nestor to the world. Nestor was reportedly adopted from Cuba and was only 12 when he arrived in the US in 2014 after being removed from Cuba.
At a hearing about the need for police transformation and raising children of color in 2020, Gaetz and Democrat Rep. Cedric Richmond engaged in a fight. Richmond attacked Gaetz in that battle because he had no experience raising children of color, and Gatez riposted the world with his adopted child.
