Pennsylvania Gov. When Democratic vote commission made the error of omitting the law and feigning to follow the rules set forth in their declaration, Josh Shapiro lied about the election law on Monday evening in an attempt to justify their actions.
Despite the Pennsylvania Supreme Court’s ruling, the state of Bucks County decided to not rely mail-in vote as per state laws because they were misdated or undated.
The choice set off a burst of complaints by Republicans. In order to influence the election’s dignity and rule of law, Shapiro waited days to launch a statement about the Democrats ‘ decision to matter invalid votes in an effort to influence the election’s outcome for former senator Bob Casey, who lost re-election to Sen. choose Dave McCormick.
According to Shapiro,” Counties were confronted with a lack of legal clarity regarding unpublished mail-in ballots, which caused major confusion and put counties in a difficult constitutional place,” as counties continued to count ballots from the 2024 standard election and a required nationwide recount began in the U.S. Senate race.
County authorities in each of our 67 counties were “damned if they did, damned if they did n’t,” according to Shapiro, who continued,” and likely facing legal activity whatever the outcome of their decision on counting.”
But there was no “lack of clarity”. In fact, Bucks County Commissioner Diane Ellis-Marseglia acknowledged this on Thursday when she declared she would willfully break the law because “precedent by a court does n’t matter anymore” and because she wanted” a court to pay attention to it.”
What part of her speech suggested to Shapiro that she questioned the legal system?
In reality, Shapiro was aware of Ellis-Marseglia’s legal authority. It’s precisely the reason he put forth a four-day silence. If Shapiro was the “moderate” Democrat that the departed wants Republicans to think he is, he would’ve condemned the blatant violation of state laws and a distinct court ruling on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. Instead, he sat on his hands hoping that the Pennsylvania Supreme Court would somehow support Democrats ( shocker, they did not ).
However, Shapiro’s wait was more of a political mistake than one of a declaration that he was more concerned with safeguarding the interests of his party. Shapiro waited to find out if the Democrats would be able to loan out.
Shapiro’s weak, gaslighting, and misleading days-late statement was n’t just a failure of leadership — it is a betrayal of the trust that voters place in their elected officials to follow the law and protect the electoral process.
