Imran Khan, the jailed former prime minister of Pakistan, instructed his party’s politicians to secede from Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf ( PTI ) if they were unable to attend its power show scheduled for November 24 on Tuesday.
Khan had given a “final contact” last year against what he called the stolen authority of the February 8 votes, the random detention, and the approval of the 26th legal act, which he claimed had reinforced a authoritarian regime.
On November 24, Khan urged people to visit the opposition. In a statement posted on his” X” account on Tuesday, Khan said,” If any PTI leader or ticket holder is not able to ensure their participation in the protest, they should disassociate themselves from the party because this is the decisive moment when the entire nation will come out for freedom.” The statement continued,” The nation will not accept any excuse at such a crucial time.”
He referred to the demonstration as a “golden chance to secure real freedom for Pakistan,” and he argued that “enslaved nations finally perish.” He even decried the “enforced abductions, cruelty, and murder” against PTI employees.
Following his wife Bushra Bibi’s current warning to PTI politicians about election tickets, Khan made his statement. She said,” The PTI leadership’s performance during the upcoming protest in Islamabad is related to the party’s ticket sales for the upcoming general elections,” citing Imran’s information to the party authority.
On Monday, PTI had announced it would not stop its sit-in until its taken authority was returned, the law restored, and Imran set free.
