Matt Gaetz was nominated for the place of attorney general by some of the biggest names in the liberal movement on Tuesday, giving him a big boost.
The Department of Justice ( DOJ) has evolved from a rabidly partisan, politically manipulated body that the president uses to fight his political rivals under the leadership of Biden’s attorney general, Merrick Garland. The company needs to be immediately changed, according to a declaration signed by tens of prominent conservative figures on Tuesday. We think Matt Gaetz will do a fantastic job of returning the company to its right capacity of equitably representing the American justice system.
Previous senator Jim DeMint, former chairman of the Heritage Foundation, former president of the United States, David Bossie, and former president and leader of the Media Research Center, Brent Bozell, are the signees of the standard support. Additionally listed as participants are Cleta Mitchell, Jenny Beth Martin, a Tea Party Patriots Citizen Fund member, and Becky Norton Dunlop, a senior adviser to President Ronald Reagan.
Since being tapped by President-elect Trump to function as solicitor general for his next administration, Gaetz has come under increasing episodes from some of Washington, D. C.’s worst offenders.

As The Federalist’s Mollie Hemingway recently reported, however, the Justice Department “dropped its investigation into the same claims” about Gaetz years ago “on the grounds that the two central witnesses had , serious credibility issues“.
Hemingway argued that these two key witnesses are the same ones that the House Ethics Committee has relied on to provide its critical report on Gaetz. This report is also being leaked to compliant reporters as part of a coordinated effort to thwart his nomination as Donald Trump’s incoming attorney general.

The aforementioned conservative leaders emphasized how the Florida Republican “has routinely been aggressive and prepared for his constitutional role in Congress, overseeing the Department of Justice from his seat on the House Judiciary Committee,” and” strongly supporting ]” Gaetz’s nomination and “urg[ing ] the Senate to” swift]ly ]” confirm him as attorney general. They also praised Gaetz for using his position to effectively oversee the DOJ, and noted that he “has been the most active member of the House Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government, appearing in more hearings and depositions than any other member.”
” Matt Gaetz has demonstrated the tenacity, courage, and intellect required to manage the DOJ competently and effectively–and most importantly, he has the trust of President-elect Trump to carry out this task”, the statement reads. ” We firmly support him in this mission. He must be confirmed without delay by the Senate.
