DHAKA: The effect of religion-based politicians is increasing in Bangladesh, Transparency International Bangladesh has said.
Misuse of power by specific groups hinders the goal of creating a non-communal, similar, rights-based Bangladesh, while crime undermines gender, religious, social, and cultural diversity, TIB said in a study review.
While students played a significant role in overthrowing the Sheikh Hasina authorities, some students lack a strong stance and democratic tolerance despite promoting reforms, according to the Bangladesh chapter of the international organization.
Additionally, the report added that press freedom is seriously threatened by media attacks and attempts to shut down media outlets. Iftekharuzzaman, the interim government’s executive director, claimed that important strategies have n’t been developed to address the crucial responsibilities of state reform and infrastructure development.
