Jon Stewart has a reason to criticize the Democrats, but he has to be a die-hard communist to do so. On a recent episode of” The Daily Show”, Stewart could n’t resist mocking the Democrats ‘ over-the-top coping tactics since losing the 2024 elections, and it was pretty good.

” I assume that the Democrats will be open to acknowledging one, the Democrats ‘ part in this fatal fight, and two, the dark hellscape we are currently facing,” Stewart said. Before playing videos of House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N), he said,” Or.” Y. ) and Rep. Dan Goldman (D-N. Y. ) trying to portray the election outcomes as a significant accomplishment by pointing out that Democrats “flip three House votes and win nearly all of those that we had lost in 2022.”
” Yeah,’ about’ is doing a lot of function in that phrase”, Stewart scoffed.” ‘ Yeah, we nearly gained back all that we lost.’ Nearly’ is kind of a load-bearing word, spin-wise — finding a good in what is obviously not” a great election for the Democrats.
” ‘ Kids good news! We nearly recovered all of the kids from the area vacation! Win, win,'” he said derisively. He then introduced a new section:” It’s a novel active. It is a deliberate bright-siding, this s**t demonstrate that we celebrate in our fresh portion called’ The Audacity of Cope.'”

Stewart elaborated,” Then, physically, yes, Democrats have less votes, but have you heard who’s in those chairs”? Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-Wash. ) attempted to brighten the dark cloud that was the Democrats ‘ election performance by ticking off a list of new congressional members highlighting diversity statistics. He then played a clip of him trying to make a video of him.  ,
” And I’m going to quit for shouts for each one of these because they’re remarkable”, Jayapal began. ” We have our first transgender member of Congress. An expert from the San Fernando Valley’s expat community works there. We have the first Iranian-American Democrat in Congress. The House has the House’s youngest representative who has ever been elected from New Jersey.
Stewart was truly upset by that last one.
” That’s not a thing”! he exclaimed. How did you become the youngest person from New Jersey to hold a seat after becoming the supposedly remarkable first Egyptian Democrat? And by the way, to the market, if you think that that frame is not that engaging, wait till you hear that this record-breaking fresh prodigy from New Jersey — is 38 years aged”!

Stewart is correct to make fun of the Democrats. Their attempts to cope with this have undoubtedly sunk into utterly unsettling ground.

” How far are we going with this?’ Oh, in Illinois, we elected a garlic!'” Stewart made fun of Stewart before saying,” Wow, this is going to be the most diverse class of congresspeople to ever have all of their regulations blocked. But inspiring”!
