Earlier this month, we asked you, WIRED members, to take in your inquiries about conceptual artificial intelligence, and these are just some of the outstanding questions we received. On Wednesday November 20, we hosted a live Q&, A session with WIRED’s Reece Rogers, the author of the” AI Unlocked” newsletter, the monthly AI ethics and advice column” The Prompt“, and countless news and how-to articles about the impact AI is having on our lives.
If you missed the livestream, do n’t worry—you can watch the whole thing right here. Reece was joined by Laura Fillbach, the event’s moderator, and WIRED international newspaper producer Katie Drummond, who made some open notes.
Rogers explained the similarities and differences between the most well-known relational AI tools in the 30-minute discussion and provided an example of one that he would like to purchase. He outlined the benefits and drawbacks of using AI-powered research in place of conventional search engines and advised viewers against requesting certain medical advice from chatbots. Rogers addressed a few viewer inquiries regarding the usefulness of tags as indicators of AI creation. In light of the fact that their kids have such a wide range of access to AI instruments, he drew on his own experience to handle questions about how to use AI in academic settings.
