While pessimism is definitely at the center of my recent obsession with reading Democrats ‘ post-mortem assessments of why they were defeated in the 2024 presidential election, I find it very comforting that the majority of them have no idea why they failed.  ,

I made no election-related estimates at all. Although there is much evidence to support my despair, I always said I was certain what would ultimately happen. There was, however, one item that I repeated in meetings, podcasts, movies, and writing that I got correctly. The alleged “moderate” Democrat’s group took a sharp left move as soon as Joe Biden took office in 2021, prompting a backlash from the left. Yeah, we know that it was really the individuals running his head who did that, but it happened yet.  ,
I was persuaded that the group’s extreme southern leaders were leaving behind standard Democrats in the rest of the nation as the party sprang headfirst to see how far left it could go. This election season, that faith grew even more powerful. I repeatedly said that I could n’t believe that Joe and Edna Democrat in Flyover, USA were on board with drag queen story hours and pro-criminal prosecutors.  ,
We now know that they were n’t. In reality, there were centrist shifts in profound blue states as well, indicating that some Democrats want the left garbage to be raging. Citizens in Los Angeles tossed one of those pro-criminal lawyers out of his ears.  ,
Still, the Democratic Party remains under the control of those coastal elites who are so blinded by ideology that they do n’t know they’re on the fringe ( I’m adding Illinois, Colorado, and Minnesota Dems into the” coastal elite” mix here ). However, one Democrat in a deeply blue state on the coast can see the state as it is, and it does n’t seem like many of his fellow Democrats are paying attention.  ,

Rep. Ritchie Torres (D-N. Y. ) has been teary-eyed for the past few days, demonstrating that his party is being deserving of support from the far left. He tweeted this tweet shortly after the election:
Donald Trump has no greater friend than the far left, which has managed to alienate historic numbers of Latinos, Blacks, Asians, and Jews from the Democratic Party with absurdities like” Defund the Police” or” From the River to the Sea” or” Latinx”.

This is not some irrational Democrat attempting to occupy Congress with his own desk. Torres is a young, queer, Afro-Latino person who represents the area that abuts the one that gave us Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. If I had only given you his profile and never shared the comments, you perhaps he was a whacked-out program. It would also have been a reasonable notion.  ,

More concerning is Denver Mayor Mike Johnston. I made a note of how significant improper emigration was to Harris and Donald Trump’s citizens on Wednesday. The Dem-dominated Los Angeles City Council and perhaps the governor of Arizona are both present. Katie Hobbs ( D) are ready to double down on” sanctuary” status for illegal aliens. However, Johnston went one step further, which was unsafe.
According to Visegrád 24, Johnston “has challenged Trump to try to arrest any illegal immigrants from his town, saying he would use force against national forces trying to arrest illegals” with the help of Denver City Police and local volunteers.”

The longer the Democrats in power remain illiterate, the longer the region has to recover from the damage the Biden administration’s liberal wreckage has caused. I hope they never figure out that their open-borders craziness is n’t common and navel-gaze themselves into at least a twelve-year delay from the president.  ,
