Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, also known as Tommy Robinson, received an 18-month jail sentence on Monday. He was found guilty of contempt of court by a European court.
Blake Hijazi, a Palestinian immigrant, filed a tort case against Robinson in violation of a court order. Robinson was prohibited from making false accusations about Hijazi by the purchase. The complaints involved Hijazi harassment and threats against other students.
In 2021, Hijazi brought a lawsuit against Robinson for slander.

He won the case in London’s High Court and received 100, 000 British pounds ( approximately$ 130, 000 ) in damages.
In the new creation, tech mogul Elon Musk took to X to provide support to Robinson. In a post on X, Musk asked,” Why is he in jail for 18 times”?. He shared article shared by Robinson’s staff about his time in prison.
Earlier on July 2024, Musk shared a blog on his X control asking why Robinson had been arrested, tweeting: ‘ What did he do that was considered extremism?’
Robinson, 41, founded the English Defence League ( EDL), a nationalist and anti-Islamist organization. He has faced legal issues in the past, including imprisonment for acts like rape, contempt of court, and mortgage scams.
Some politicians and journalists accused Robinson of inciting demonstrations that caused turmoil in England and Northern Ireland earlier this summer. Three young ladies were killed in Southport as a result of the turmoil.
According to his present prison, Robinson was unable to enter the march in London. Despite this, a sizable portion of his followers showed up at the celebration.
Robinson was removed from Twitter in 2018 after Elon Musk purchased the program, now known as X, and was reinstated. On social media, he now has a million followers.
