In light of the nation’s borders problems, more than 1.4 million people have avoided imprisonment orders, which has left communities across the country on edge.
An immigration expert told Fox News Digital that the Biden administration is “unserious” about the government’s migrant crisis because 1.4 million illegal immigrants are still detained in the country after receiving official imprisonment orders from provincial judges.
Of that 1.4 million, just about 13, 000 are behind bars. According to the Center for Migration Studies of New York, there were an estimated 11.7 million unlawful immigrants living in the United States as of July 2023.
Residents of the United States have been concerned about the issue because people have been killed in the past two years, all reportedly by illegal refugees, in addition to Laken Riley, Lizbeth Medina, Jocelyn Nungaray, and Rachel Morin.
” It took years of abuse and poor public policy, coupled with four times of unprecedented illegal emigration, to get here”, Steven Camarota, the director of research for the Center of Immigration Studies, told Fox News Digital. ” You ca n’t reverse it in four years”.
