Thousands of supporters of imprisoned former Prime Minister Imran Khan converged on the fringes of Pakistan’s capital, Islamabad, on Monday, demanding his release and vowing to march on congress for a sit-in opposition.
Authorities imposed a tight security lockdown, erecting barriers on routes to prevent the protesters, as Khan’s group reported confrontations and unrest in different parts of the country.

As the demonstrations continue, one officer has been reported killed. During violent clashes between Imran Khan’s supporters and security officers near Islamabad on Monday, countless people from both sides suffered injuries. A government secretary and members of Khan’s social gathering both confirmed the deaths, according to Reuters.
According to PTI, the caravan from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa entered Islamabad on Monday night while others are scheduled to arrive once the obstacles are cleared.
“Kyber Pakhtunkhwa’s caravan crossed Islamabad’s borders”! From all of Pakistan, tankers are coming to Islamabad. We did not stop until we reached Islamabad”, said PTI. ” Where there are obstructions, as soon as they are removed, those wagons will suddenly left for Islamabad. Every day, these wagons will pass through Islamabad like tsunami waves. This will maintain until we are successful in obtaining Khan’s requirements and launching a genuine freedom campaign. We will not halt, we will not stretch. We may persist. And may be unwavering. Does die freed”! added the group.
Khan’s family Bushra Bibi, also a part of the march, addressed the march near Hazara Interchange saying,” My boys, we will not stop this march till Imran is not with us”, she said. ” I’ll be here until my next mouth, and everyone in my life must cheer me up.” The nation and its leader are both important to me, not only my husband.
Amin Ali Gandapur, the Blake chief minister, is directing the parade. Some PTI officials, including Sanam Javaid Khan, Babar Saleem Swati, Faisal Javed, and Omar Ayub Khan were likewise part of the show.
