Selena Gomez has once more banned system shamers on social media, and she has since revealed a new health condition.
The” Only Murders in the Building” star and founder of Rare Beauty makeup, who also lives in the country, blasted debate about her weight on TikTok as being a result of her small intestinal fungal disease. After stepping out last week for the American French Film Festival’s Hollywood premiere of her picture” Emilia Pérez,” she revealed her revelations weeks later.
At the Oct. 29 occurrence, the Emmy-nominated” Magicians of Waverly Place” student posed in a dark, body-hugging dress. In a since-deleted article, TikTok users apparently observed that Gomez posed with her arms across her chest, alleging she was hiding her brain, according to , TMZ. Gomez, who has  , recently addressed system shamers , on social media, replied to the videos:” This makes me sick”.
Gomez, 32, responded with the discovery that she has SIBO, according to many pictures shared on social media. ” It flares up. I do n’t care that I do n’t look like a sick]sic ] figure. I do n’t have that body. End of story”.
She added:” No I am NOT a target. I’m really people”.
The , Mayo Clinic , says SIBO occurs when the small intestine experiences an “abnormal increase in the overall bacterial population”, particularly bacteria types that are n’t commonly found in that part of the body. When a circumstances, such as surgery or illness, slows the passage of food and spend items in the gastrointestinal tract, SIBO, also known as blind ring symptoms, is most common. The former Disney Channel baby star , revealed in 2017 , that she had undergone a kidney transplant according to lupus cystitis, where the inflammatory disease disease causes a woman’s kidneys to refuse.
Symptoms of SIBO include bloating, abdominal pain and nausea.
Gomez has long been public about her physical and mental health conditions, including her battle with lupus and her experiences with , bipolar disorder, anxiety and depression. In September, Gomez revealed she , ca n’t carry a child , because of her numerous health conditions and will likely turn to surrogacy or adoption when she decides to start a family.
In an interview that was made public two months ago, she told Vanity Fair,” That was something I had to grieve for a while.”
Gomez addressed her body-shamers in public in February 2023. She claimed during a TikTok live that she retains water because of the medication she takes to treat her lupus. ” Not a model. Never going to be, she said before introducing herself to beauty-lovers.
I just want people to know that you’re beautiful and wonderful, and yes, there are days when we might feel like s—, but I’d rather be healthy and take care of myself, Gomez said at the time, adding that “my medications are important and I believe they help me.”
