The Epsilon S rocket, part of Japan’s small rocket development program, is being developed by Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency ( Jaxa ) in collaboration with IHI Corp’s aerospace unit as a next-generation model of the Epsilon series.
By the end of the current fiscal month in March, Epsilon S jet was scheduled to take to the skies. The Epsilon S, component of Japan’s effort to develop cost-competitive little missiles, has faced difficulties, including a past engine test loss 16 months before.
Mitsubishi Heavy Industries ‘ flagship H3 rocket from Jaxa, developed for international customers like French dish company Eutelsat, even experienced a failure during its first launch next year. Since then, the company has successfully carried out three successful missions, including launches for Chinese satellites and international clients like its parent company.
