Thompson was arraigned Monday in Sacramento federal judge, charged with criminal offenses of assaulting, resisting or impeding sure officials and civil condition, plus five criminal acts. His case may be tried in the D. C. circuits, prosecutors said.
After posting a$ 25, 000 loan, he is expected to be released from captivity. He’s scheduled to appear before D. C. Magistrate Judge Matthew J. Sharbaugh on Thursday, Dec. 5.

Thompson’s reported conduct on Jan. 6
The following activities are alleged in the federal court oath:
Thompson, a former president, claimed that he had been unfairly defrauded when he lost to President Joe Biden at the” Stop the Steal” protest on January 6.
In an effort to circumvent police barricades and literally encircle law enforcement near the annual stage, Thompson and other rioters gathered at the Capitol’s West Front after the rally. Thompson wrestled a bike rack away from an agent while grabbing it from the front of the police line using open-source video footage.
After the officers range collapsed, Thompson and another protesters surged forward and grabbed a police officer’s right arm. As Thompson moved past authorities, he tripped and fell over a step. Another guy shoved a police commander back, who then fell over Thompson’s body on the ground. Thompson is said to have lunged at the police before preventing the assault with truncheons.
Thompson, with another rioter’s support, strongly backed into a police official, pushing the official toward the Capitol and against the edge of an enhanced program on the West Plaza. Therefore, Thompson was filmed grabbing a police commander before being grabbed by a Capitol Police officer using body-worn camera film.
The hole, which the U.S. Attorney General’s Office described as the location of” some of the most aggressive attacks against regulation enforcement” on January 6, was captured on video footage showing Thompson entering a passage to the inside of the Capitol building. Thompson slammed into the hole as another rioters hurled big construction markers at officers. Thompson is alleged to have used their collective force to push against the authorities in the hole and then promptly joined protesters in a coordinated effort to break through the police range. After some minutes, Thompson left.
