US Secretary of State Antony Blinken stated on Tuesday that India and the US are stronger as a result of working up to strengthen both countries. At the G7 summit in Fiuggi, Italy, he met with foreign affairs minister S Jaishankar to discuss these ideas.
Taking to X, Blinken said,” The US and India are stronger when we are working together. Dr. S. Jaishankar, the American minister of foreign affairs, and I discussed how important it is for us to keep working together to advance global security and prosperity today in Italy.
Following their conversation, Matthew Miller, the State division director said,” The United States desires to continue coordinating closely with India to tackle global surveillance issues”.
According to Miller’s official description of the meeting, the discourse between Blinken and Jaishankar strengthened both countries ‘ commitment to strengthening their diplomatic relations.
In a separate article on X, Blinken stated that” We are working with our Euro-Atlantic and Indo-Pacific friends to handle global surveillance challenges, including Russian support from the PRC and DPRK.” Up, we’re bolstering a free and open Indo-Pacific across the Taiwan Strait, on the Korean Peninsula, and in the South China Sea”.
Before sharing on X, Jaishankar even shared details of their conversation, which encompassed international affairs and the intensifying India-US collaboration.
The American outside minister likewise held key discussions with his peers from the US, South Korea, Japan, and Italy at the G7 Foreign Ministers ‘ meeting.
” I’m so glad I took part in the G7 FMM Outreach Session with Indo-Pacific partners today in Fiuggi.” Thank you for the warm welcome and kindness, Italy’s FM Antonio Tajani. Noted that the Indo-Pacific is experiencing significant shifts including new commonalities &, alliances as well as troubles, disputes &, stresses. The Indo-Pacific environment now makes a compelling case for a more inclusive approach, Jaishankar wrote on X.
” Discussed options in technology, development, clean energy, nutrients, railways and opportunities. Even exchanged ideas on IMEC, Ukraine and the Indo-Pacific. Our actions are based on the just released Joint Strategic Action Plan. Look forward to welcoming him in India in 2025″, he added.
