By consuming the fruit, crypto entrepreneur Justin Sun Friday made a promise that he made after spending$ 6.2 million ( over Rs. 52.3 crore ) on an installation of a banana-themed wall art.
Sun drew parallels between philosophical art and cryptocurrency at one of Hong Kong’s priciest hotels, where he ate a banana in front of a sizable audience before delivering the piece of cake in front of a crowd. ” It’s much better than different fruits. It’s really quite good”, he said.
Titled ‘ Comedian’, the labor created by European designer Maurizio Cattelan was sold at a Sotheby’s auction in New York last year, with Sun among seven bids.
Sun said he felt “disbelief” in the first 10 hours after he won the charge, before realising” this may be someone big”. In the 10 minute after that, he decided he would have the fruit.
