Federal officials have refuted their claims that they were followed by a ship of drones while earlier this month conducting sea patrols in Barnegat Light, New Jersey.
A Coast safeguard member, speaking secretly, shared his amazement, stating,” It’s the suggestion that’s insulting”.
” It’s assuming we’re making things up, when the people making up stuff are lower in Washington, DC”.
The Federal Aviation Administration ( FAA ) placed temporary flight restrictions over some of New Jersey and New York shortly after the sailor’s remarks. On the 47-foot save ship that encountered the uavs the hour of the sight, he was one of the 12 crew members.
” We were really out there to see if we may spot any robots, because of all these sightings”, the soldier explained. ” Well, we found some drones. Or more precisely, they found us”.
The soldier claims that the robots suddenly appeared around 9 am and followed the vehicle for about 15 hours. The helicopter cluster mirrored the ship’s movements, shifting path as the vessel did. ” They had four shafts, about seven foot across, with colorful red, green, and light flashing lamps”, he said. The robots flew at an estimated 80 to 100 feet above the vehicle.
The Department of Homeland Security vessel was moving at about 20 knots ( roughly 20 miles per hour ), which the swarming matched. After climbing an additional 100 feet, the drones gradually veered left and disappeared from view before turning around to the shoreline.
The soldier insists that these weren’t just regular business drones. ” Business airplanes don’t walk like that. We know what robots look and sound like”, he said.
But, White House spokesman John Kirby downplayed the Coast Guard’s accounts, suggesting the robots could have been a mix of business, hobby, and legislation enforcement robots, as well as aircraft and even stars mistakenly identified as robots. Kirby claimed that the occurrences did not pose a threat to national security or public health and that the Coast Guard may have confused incoming aircraft with drones.
The Coast Guardsman disagreed, saying,” I can’t pretend to know what’s going on, but those weren’t the kinds of drones you can buy at the store. These were state robots”.
The soldier added,” I don’t care what Kirby or]DHS head Alejandro] Mayorkas say — they’re full of sh-t”. He emphasized that if the robots had acted violently, they would have taken defensive action if their purchases were to see and not join with them.
Local leaders, including Representatives Chris Smith and Jeff Van Drew, have criticised the federal answer, demanding a clear reason for the strange aircraft action, the New York Post quoted.
Since November 18, more than 1, 000 aircraft sightings have been reported over New Jersey, with lots more in New York’s aircraft, raising growing worries over the presence of robots in human airport. Federal government, yet, maintain that the observations pose no safety risk.
