Seven people were killed on Sunday when a Cessna 207 plane crashed in a densely forested area of Jalisco, northern Mexico, according to local authorities. The plane was traveling from La Parota to Michoacán, a position in the nearby position.
Jalisco Civil Protection, through its social media channels, said that the accident area was situated in a hard-to-reach place, according to reports company AFP.
Officials at the scene first “reported a preliminary count of seven individuals dead”, with the patients yet to be identified, the organization reported.
It further stated that” a fire was put out to prevent potential more damage” and that risk reduction measures were taken.
Officials are waiting for forensic experts to find the bodies and verify there are no more casualties. More information are awaited.
