A cargo ship tipped over onto its side, causing a quick recovery efforts for its staff members, at an Istanbul dock, where a program landing operation turned disorganized.
Authorities believe the incident was caused by an improper launching of cargo, which caused the ship to gain stability and move around.
The president’s company in Istanbul issued a statement outlining the immediate actions taken to ensure the safety of the passengers.
Ten of the 15 staff members were quickly saved by help workers who rushed to the scene. The remaining five made it to health by jumping into the water.
Among the team, one specific sustained minor injuries and was transported to a doctor for medical attention, the governor’s office reported.
