A Los Angeles student tragically lost his life after being shot in what authorities believe was a missed gang initiation. Jason Alexander Ramirez, 19, was killed after he paused to assist his intruder, who had allegedly been in problems.
According to the Mirror US, Jason had merely dropped his sister off at work and was heading house when this horrifying event occurred in Boyle Heights, Los Angeles, around midnight on Wednesday.
His nephew, Angel Ramirez, spoke to nearby KTLA-TV and explained that four teenagers were seen near their home,’ lurking,’ as Jason was approaching his entrance door. Jason was allegedly lured into a deadly trap by Angel who claimed the youths had mistaken him for a rival gang member.
The other three defendants hid behind cars while the other four suspects entered the city and appeared to be distressed to avert Jason’s car. When Jason least expected it, while vulnerable and indefensible, he was ambushed in cold body”.
According to local reports, police officers who arrived shortly after the incident discovered Jason dead inside his car at the crossing of Sixth Street and Grande Vista Avenue. A suspect who is thought to be just 17 years old was afterward detained by the Los Angeles Police Department, though the other suspects have not yet been located.
Angel reflected on Jason’s kind-hearted character, saying,” While trying to help people who he thought was in need, he was unfairly attacked. Jason was a really excellent illustration of how one may enjoy his own person. His behavior that day demonstrated his heartfelt love, and he will forever be remembered.
People with information about the incident is asked to come forth, according to the LAPD.
