Just weeks before it briefed her business on prosecuting followers of former President Donald Trump’s 2020 campaign, communist lawfare party Kris Mayes retained a leftist lawfare party last year for “election integrity.”
” Our labor will be provided pro bono,” he said. A letter from Christine Sun, senior vice president for the States United Democracy Center, to Chief Deputy Attorney General Dan Barr, on May 4, 2023, is read as” We are pleased to have this opportunity to be of service and work with you.”
Barr signed the agreement with States United on May 15, 2023, according to the file. Jeff Clark, senior colleague at the Center for Renewing America, first published the lease on Dec. 22 on X.  ,
The report listed “terms and conditions” that States United “advised the Arizona Attorney General’s Office… in connection with developing legitimate strategies to ensure the integrity and stability of primaries.”
The deal demands Mayes ‘ business” will cooperate fully with us]States United ] in your things”. It also stipulates relevant communications, “internal administrative material”, and “research notes” — “other than those with you or opposing counsel” — can be “destroyed in our sole discretion and consistent with our document preservation policies” . ,
Mayes ‘ business began retaining State United just before the party provided a letter on July 27, 2023, suggesting an anti-Trump trial, according to The Daily Signal. The attorney general announced an accusation in April of this year against 18 of Trump’s 2020 followers, including so-called “fake votes” and top Trump advisers Rudy Giuliani and Mark Meadows.  ,
The memo implied it was criminal to prepare alternate slates of electors ( which it deemed “false electors” ) in case results were overturned, and suggested bringing criminal charges, including conspiracy, forgery, and fraudulent schemes and artifices — that were ultimately included in the indictment.  ,
The party recommended Mayes do “further research” of Trump, Giuliani, Meadows, attorney John Eastman, then-RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel, and election dignity recommend Cleta Mitchell.  ,
InfluenceWatch claims that States United, a leftist law organization, opposes voter ID laws and supports Democrats ‘ attempts to obstruct election security. The party praised Trump’s ability to pursue a careful trial, and a States United official suggested” legal costs” for officials who refused to confirm election results, according to The Federalist.
State United has spent years working with Arizona. The group’s members coordinated a visit with Maricopa County Recorder Stephen Richer‘s office and the Institute for Strategic Dialogue, a worldwide censorship organization connected to the legendary Global Engagement Center, in 2022, according to The Federalist. State United and Richards ‘ offices also consulted about attempting to fire Arizona State University professor Aaron Ludwig after he posted concerns about election security online.  ,
We The People Arizona, a grassroots organization, sued Maricopa County for emails obtained from the trade after Richer’s attempts to fire the teacher sparked a new lawsuit. The Maricopa County prosecutor agreed on Dec. 20 to convert the documents over, lawyer Bryan Blehm told The Federalist, but authorities had never done so at the time of release.
Blehm stated that the situation is currently on the 30-day departure calendar, but he will ask the county to remove it from the dismissal calendar on Tuesday if the county doesn’t agree today.
” This whole thing is a higher goal in our business”, We The People Arizona Chair Shelby Busch told The Federalist. ” Not just the Aaron Ludwig point, but this whole idea of the very radical-out-front, communist companies that have been at the vanguard of a lot of this, and how they’re colluding with our government companies”.
