Israel for the first time officially admitted to being involved in Ismail Haniyeh’s murder in Tehran in July.

Egyptian authorities had previously attributed the execution to Israel, but this is their first public acknowledgment of the execution.
Haniyeh, operating from Qatar, led Hamas ‘ foreign politics during the Gaza conflict, which began with a Hamas-led assault on Israel on October 7, 2023. He furthermore participated in peace negotiations.
Following Haniyeh’s dying in Iran’s money, Israeli forces even killed Yahya Sinwar in Gaza. Sinwar, Haniyeh’s son, was considered the designer of the October 7 assault that sparked the latest Israeli-Palestinian issue.
