Donald Trump, the president-elect, claimed that the Democrats paid actors to give their common support to Vice President Kamala Harris on Truth Social.
In a blog on Saturday, Trump claimed the Democrats had spent thousands to secure testimonials from high-profile characters such as Beyoncé, Oprah Winfrey, and MSNBC host Al Sharpton.
” Are the Democrats allowed to pay$ 11, 000, 000,$ 2, 000, 000, and$ 500, 000 to get the ENDORSEMENT of Beyoncé, Oprah, and Reverend Al? I don’t believe so”, the original president wrote.
He went on to criticise the involvement of these figures, stating,” Beyoncé didn’t sing, Oprah didn’t do much of anything ( she called it’ expenses ‘ ), and Al is just a third rate Con Man”.
Oprah recently rebuffed Beyoncé’s claim that she “was never paid a money” for her participation in a live-streamed event, even though the battle did pay production costs, according to The Hill. Beyoncé and Oprah had both appeared alongside Harris on the campaign path.
Sharpton, the important civil rights advocate and MSNBC host, interviewed Harris in October. He is also the founder of the National Action Network, a non-profit entity that received a$ 500, 000 contribution from Harris ‘ plan shortly before the meeting. Sharpton immediately organised a get-out-the-vote protest for Harris, only three days after the section aired.
The system was aware of the gifts to the National Action Network, according to a spokesperson for MSNBC. The system has declined to comment further on the subject, citing its policy of never discussing “personnel things.”
Trump, in his Saturday article, questioned the constitutionality of the payment, suggesting that it might be in contravention of strategy laws.
” So what is going on these??? Absolutely against the law, and I have heard there are many others!!”! he wrote, continuing his criticism of Harris ‘ strategy spending.
Trump has often criticised Harris ‘ multimedia performances throughout the 2024 vote cycle, including one where he claimed the community had altered her actions before airing.
