After Donald Trump expressed interest in purchasing Greenland, there were reports of a significant authority interruption in Nuuk, where Americans claimed the US do not allow it to occur.
The power went out on December 28 at around 9:40 AM local time and lasted for about 10 days despite the heat of -10 degrees Celsius. Important facilities like hospitals and crisis services had to move to backup generators as a result of the outage.
Citizens are urged to use the community centers ‘ features and to sustain energy wherever possible, according to a statement from the Greenlandic government. Visitors were forced to hang out in their vehicles to get comfortable and as the power source resumed, people were told to not use washing machines, washers and other large equipment, accounts claimed.
An “accident” was said to be the root of the electricity failure.
“20, 000 people live in Nuuk, and it’s recent -17°F. President Trump did not allow this to happen to you, Greenland! Time to join us”, one article read.
Some people were puzzled by the power outage because Donald Trump has an eye on Greenland besides Panama and Canada. The United States of America believes that the ownership and control of Greenland is a total necessity for the purposes of national security and freedom worldwide, according to Trump in a statement posted on Truth Social.
Mute Egede, the prime minister of Greenland, responded to Donald Trump’s statement saying that the country is always and never will be. ” Greenland is theirs. We are always and never will be for sale. We may not reduce our long struggle for freedom”, the PM said in a composed reply.
Trump made the suggestion in his first term in 2019 that the US should purchase Greenland, which is the site of the carefully significant Pituffik US place center.
