Ryan Routh, the 58-year-old person accused of attempting to attack US President-elect Donald Trump, has made statements in a prison text, including delivering to become a Hamas captive, according to the New York Post.
In a two-page letter obtained by The Post, Routh, who is awaiting trial in a federal prison in Miami, requested assistance in trade for a robber’s life.
” Will you accompany me to Gaza and offer to give me a prisoner life in exchange, satisfy”? Routh wrote. By offering your assistance to resume the peace process and end this war,” Will you help me quit the killing of honest children and families?”
” I may say that I am willing to surrender in Gaza… only to resume the serenity conversation”, Routh added.
In the same letter, Routh claimed to have been deeply moved by the life of American founding father Alexander Hamilton, writing that he had been” crying” over Hamilton’s death in a duel.
Routh also compared himself to George Bailey, the kind-hearted businessman in the 1946 typical It’s a Wonderful Life. In this environment, Routh appears to be expressing his wish for a better world by using the guide. George Bailey is known for his generosity, compassion, and willingness to help others, yet at his own price.
He wrote,” I wish for a world where we always put in more than we take out.” ” I feel as George Bailey, wondering if there is support and value in honour, dignity, righteousness, meek, modest, altruism, magnanimity, empathy, kindness, caring]and ] sacrifice”.
Routh also criticized US officials for destroying their Gaza unity tents and praised university students who supported Hamas.
His daughter, Sara Routh, 31, confirmed the integrity of the text and expressed her efforts to promote the prisoner swap through the social media account @GazaHostageSwap, according to the Post.
In his notice, he claimed to own “unlimited time and money to travel to D. C., Qatar, Gaza, or anywhere else to give the new captives”, though he is currently in jail awaiting trial.
Ryan Routh was detained on September 15 after being discovered with a shotgun and a context near the Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida. He was within 300 to 450 feet of Trump before he was apprehended.
