'Oh Canada’: Trump shares map with 51 US states

Donald Trump, the president-elect of the United States, sparked controversy by sharing a chart that appeared to defy the country’s status on social media. This further escalates his continued rhetoric toward the northern neighbor.
This came after he had recently suggested using “economic power” to annex Canada, a declaration that Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau harshly condemned.
Trump strongly denied using military power to conquer Canada when reporters at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida inquired. ” No”, he said, before reiterating his conviction that Canada should be the 51st US position. Trump has stated regularly over the past few weeks that he wants to draw the “artificial collection” between the US and Canada, which he claims will improve both nations, particularly in terms of national security.
” Canada and the United States, that would really be something”, Trump said. It would also be significantly better for national security to remove that deliberately drawn range and examine how it looks. Don’t miss, we essentially protect Canada”.
Trump continued by arguing that the US may not longer financially assistance its northern neighbor and highlighting the economic burden that the US bears in terms of protecting Canada. ” I love the American citizens, they’re fantastic. But we’re spending hundreds of billions a year to guard it”, Trump stated, adding that the US may no longer depend on Canada’s business, including its vehicles and hardwood.
In reply, Trudeau, who had resigned the preceding day as the Canadian prime minister, quickly rejected Trump’s ideas.
Taking to social media platform X, he remarked,” There isn’t a snowball’s chance in hell that Canada may be part of the United States”. Additionally, Trudeau emphasized the value of the two countries ‘ long-standing bilateral relationships, noting that both countries ‘ workers and populations benefit from their close relationships in terms of trade and stability.
According to Trudeau,” Staff and communities in both our states benefit from being one another’s biggest dealing and security mate.”
