Two young step-sisters were arrested in Pakistan’s Gujranwala, for reportedly setting their parents on fire in retaliation for murder, leading to his death, authorities reported on Wednesday.
The dad was taken to a hospital on January 1st, but died on Tuesday from his wounds.
According to authorities national Rizwan Tariq, the women admitted to the crime. The women claimed that they had made a “permanent option” among themselves, Tariq told AFP.
The sisters set their parents on fire while he was asleep when they seized gasoline from a bicycle. They allege that he had thrice attempted to rape the younger sister and had been raping the older sister for a month.
Their mother, both married to the dying man, were aware of the reported abuse but not the program for punishment.
One of the mother is under imprisonment, while the other is being questioned. The authorities are withholding the father’s name to defend the ladies ‘ names.
” We expect to provide them before the judge in a few days, as soon as we finish the research”, Tariq added.
