I started watching the brutal media coverage of the flames in Southern California last night as I got ready to go to bed, and the next thing I knew, it was well after 1 a.m. The fireplace is one of the most gruesome things I’ve ever witnessed. I really felt so bad for everyone involved, but I never stopped and considered the elections of the people whose homes were destroyed.  ,

Obviously, not all feels the same way. Kaper Piper, who appears to be a retired English teacher from the University of Missouri and uses the name @PiperK on X, took to the social media site to express his gratitude for the fire that James Woods ‘ home caused. Woods is known for being an outspoken liberal.  ,
” James Woods ‘ property is burning down. It’s karma calling”, the X blog read, though Piper has since deleted it. But as we all know, the net is long. A picture of the incendiary post was shared by many people.  ,
Woods, who has a great X following of over 4.5 million people, has been posting updates on the hearth, including a timetable of its effect on his own neighborhood. On Tuesday evening, he informed his supporters that he and his wife, Sara, were able to keep carefully, but many of the houses in his area were on fire.  ,
He likewise showed that, unlike Piper, he has his priorities in order, even though his house did finally fire.  ,
The artist broke down in tears when he appeared on CNN earlier today to discuss losing his home.  ,
How anyone can look at this tragedy occurring in California and want it upon a single person is beyond me, though. You can go to Woods ‘ X account and see more of his story and others’. which brings me to Piper again. As I said, she has since deleted the blog, but she didn’t issue an apology. In fact, she tried to explain it away as a” joke” in another post she made on Wednesday ( warning: it contains offensive language ):  ,

She also used the moment to educate us all about culture shift. It becomes obvious from a quick glance at Piper’s X account that she has strong progressive beliefs with a part of Trump Derangement Syndrome. She surprisingly stated in October that Elon Musk was” someone who would attempt to utilize suffering.” She also seems to be enjoying the attention. While some advertisements were saying that she is a recent Mizzou teacher, she says she’s retired. Perhaps she’ll get a second job and a seat at the table on” The Watch” thanks to her newfound fame?  ,  ,

Yeah, according to a Sacramento ABC online, the school issued a statement on Wednesday evening condemning her notes and even made a place to position that she’s retired:  ,
The University of Missouri extends its condolences to Californians who have been affected by the fires. We find the assertion by Karen Piper— a resigned professor — to be seriously insulting, and it does not indicate the university’s viewpoint or values. We are reviewing this problem”.
Karen Piper has been a professor of English and an adjunct professor of landscape at the University of Missouri since 1996, according to that ABC online. Her LinkedIn account indicates that she is still working at the institution. It’s unclear how long before Piper retired. When you push on her history section at the university’s established site, you receive a communication that the site is missing.

Either approach, it looks like the damage has been done. Many people who are connected to the universities in some way were offended by her. There are numerous messages on X from students who purport to be graduates that look exactly like this:  .
