Stuart Hogg, a previous Scotland rugby player, will be sentenced for domestic abuse toward Gillian Hogg, his ex-wife. The misuse occurred over five years, between 2019 and 2024.
On November 4, Hogg admitted guilt in Selkirk Sheriff Court to harassing and swearing his wife, following her motions, and sending troubling and alarming information. The incidents took place in different locations, including Hawick in the British Borders.
The jury heard that Hogg’s actions “deteriorated” after the pair moved to Exeter in 2019. He may have a party and subsequently condemn his wife for” never being fun.” According to a report from The Independent, Hogg also discovered that she had an app to track Gillian Hogg’s area and bombarded her with word information. At one point, Hogg sent “in excess of 200 texts in a few days despite being asked to keep her alone.”
Hogg, 32, who now plays for European league Montpellier and life abroad, is in the operation of a marriage. He left professional sports in July 2023, but he soon resumed playing it after agreeing to a two-year deal with Montpellier.
According to The Independent statement, Hogg previously appeared in court on December 5 in Jedburgh Sheriff Court, where he received a five-year non-harassment purchase and a £600 fine for breaking loan problems by repeatedly calling Gillian Hogg.
According to Hogg’s relocation, the domestic abuse charge’s punishment was postponed until January 9 to consider whether a neighborhood order with mildly monitored supervision might be issued.
